Meet Our Team
Dr. Christopher (Topher) Moreno graduated from BYU with a degree in Molecular Biology before attending Texas A&M College of Medicine for medical school. Dr. Moreno loves people and found that Dermatology was the best way to have a fun work environment and have meaning relationships with patients. His desire to master the prevention and early treatment of skin cancer led him to choose the University of Arizona Division of Dermatology for residency training. While there, he worked closely with world leaders in cancer research and learned advanced therapies including topical and systemic skin cancer therapies. One of the highlights of residency was working closely with dermatologic surgeons. He has personally completed hundreds of cyst removals, skin cancer excisions, and even Mohs micrographic surgeries. He has published original research on various subjects including access to medical care, melanoma, and use of social media in medicine.
Dr. Moreno also worked at a private practice in Arizona before moving to Utah where he further developed his love for treating a variety of skin conditions ranging from acne to complex rashes and from skin cancer surgery to cosmetic procedures. His passion at work is to provide a comfortable and patient-centered experience. His goal is to use his wealth of knowledge and evidence-based medicine to act as a consultant for the patient so that they can reach THEIR goals.
In his personal life, Dr. Moreno enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. His favorite activities include mountain biking, hiking, camping, lifting weights, visiting Lake Powell, and singing his kids to sleep.
Stephen received his bachelor of science in exercise physiology from Brigham Young University. He then received his master of medical science degree and physician assistant diploma from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. During his undergraduate studies, Stephen worked as a rehabilitation therapist in the cardiac rehabilitation department at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. After earning his PA and master’s degree he worked in family practice and urgent care in both Wyoming and California. In 2008 he returned to Utah and began working in dermatology. Stephen is a board certified physician assistant and is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants at both the state and national levels.
